Silent Hill - Pyramid Head papercraft
Red Pyramid Thing, aka Pyramid Head, is a humanoid monster in the Silent Hill series, first appearing in Silent Hill 2. His red helm and butcher's attire are reminiscent of the city's past executioners, who worshiped Valtiel, the angel of regeneration. He is a manifestation of James Sunderland's guilt and desire for punishment that exists to keep him human and help him remember his past deeds. The monster is an instrument of James' inner torment, the Great He Knife and Great Spear, and at the end of the game, a second Pyramid Head appears. Despite criticism from Masahiro Ito and Tom Hewlett, the character was reimagined in Silent Hill: Homecoming as The Bogeyman, aka The Shadowed One. The movies and novels expand his role to that of Valtiel's guardian and servant.
Since its creation, Pyramid Head has become one of the most well-known and iconic monsters in the franchise, turning into something of a mainstream and flagship figurehead for the series. Apart from Silent Hill 2 and Homecoming, Pyramid Head has made his main appearances in the spin-offs Silent Hill: The Arcade and Silent Hill: Book of Memories, with cameo appearances in Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Downpour. They also appear in the films Silent Hill and Silent Hill: Revelation, the comics, the novel Silent Hill: Betrayal, and the Silent Hill pachislot.
