En esta región se encuentra el famoso pueblo de Rovaniemi, donde Papá Noel vive y trabaja todo el año, situado justo en el cinturón ártico. El pueblo tiene muchas atracciones, como la oficina de Papá Noel, la residencia de los elfos, la oficina de correos de Papá Noel, la panadería navideña... El pueblo recibe a cientos de miles de visitantes cada Navidad.
