However, humans can contract with Demons to use their power. Those who specialize in hunting and using them are called Demon Hunters (デビルハンター Debiru Hantā). Demons originate from Hell and exist in a cycle between earth and hell, they come to earth after being killed in hell and vice versa. Hell is inhabited by demons called Primordial Fear with great power and have never been defeated. The boundary between the two worlds is said to be controlled by the Demon of Hell (地獄の悪魔 Jigoku no Akuma).
