Pokémon: Snowpoint City papercraft
Snowpoint City (Japanese: キッサキシティ Kissaki City) is a snow-covered city located at the far north of Sinnoh, where snow blows down from the top of Mt. Coronet causing low temperatures. Snowpoint City and the three routes that lead to it (Route 216, Route 217, and Acuity Lakefront) are also completely covered in snow. To the northeast of Route 217, Lake Acuity can be found. A cave, which houses Uxie, is located in the middle of Lake Acuity. Given the snow which affects every battle on the two routes leading to the city, as well as the fact that to get to Route 216 from the rest of Sinnoh one must pass through Mt. Coronet, the most convenient way to get to the city is to Fly. There is a port here from which the player can board the S.S. Spiral (known as S.S. Sinnoh in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl) to access the Fight Area at the Battle Zone, but only after entering the Hall of Fame. Its temple is home to the Legendary Pokémon Regigigas. There is also a Move Tutor in Snowpoint in Pokémon Platinum.
Here’s some random tips/notes that might be helpful:
– For the crane, feel free to trim down the poles and other small parts. I left them a bit long on purpose for some flexibility in gluing it all together.
– The NPC file here is only the snow-themed NPCs. The other NPCs can be found in my other posts if you want more variety.
– There are 15 background tiles, and they fit in a 3×5 shape, numbered left to right, top to bottom (1,2,3 in top row, 4,5,6 in second row, etc.). It doesn’t really matter here though since all the snow looks the same.
– As always, if you don’t want the dotted lines in the final build, it’s easiest to print out the lineless version and use the lined one as a guide as you are scoring and folding. The pdo files help a lot too (use Pepakura Viewer).
– Like before, the dxf files are there if you happen to have a cutting machine. It makes life a lot easier.
