Rhine ferry Mondorf papercraft
The twelfth Mondorf handicraft sheet shows the Rhine ferry from Mondorf. The ferry connection has been the bridge between Mondorf and Graurheindorf across the Rhine for more than 1200 years. In the Middle Ages, people and goods were brought across the Rhine with a barge, but today this is done with a modern car ferry. The model is on a scale of 1:100 and represents the ferry as a waterline model. Many thanks go to Ingo Schneider-Lux from Lux-Werft GmbH, who supported us with technical drawings and the opportunity to take measurements on the ferry.
