Kami (神かみ様さま Kami-sama, lit. "God", "Deity", or "Divine Being") was the former Guardian of the Earth, and the good counterpart of King Piccolo. Throughout a majority of the story, the character known as Kami was a wise Namekian, who alongside Piccolo, was once a single being, who no longer remembered his real name, although it was revealed that he was the son of Katas.
