Ant-Man Classic papercraft
The making of Ant -Man began in April 2006 with the hiring of Wright to direct, produce and co-write with Cornish. By April 2011, Wright and Cornish had completed three drafts of the script and Wright began filming the pilot in July 2012. Filming began in October 2013 after Wright finished the series. The World's End movie. The film began casting in December 2013, casting Rudd as Lang. In May 2014, Wright left the project citing creative inconsistencies, although he still received the script and spoke to Cornish, as well as acting as an executive producer. In the following months Reed was appointed to replace Wright, while McKay was recruited to discuss the script with Rudd. The scenes in the film were primarily filmed between August and December 2014 in San Francisco and the Atalanta Metropolitan Area .
