He is the second protagonist of the Science Faction in the Toaru Majutsu no Index series . When he first appeared as a villain, he came to his senses after being defeated by Kamijou Touma. His journey to becoming a "hero" progresses after he saves Last Order and is caught in an ironic twist of fate. Now he had to depend on the Sisters, clones he had killed before. He is also the main antagonist in an arc of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun as well as the protagonist of Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator .
