Predator or Yautja, its biological name, is a science fiction alien creature, noted for being a hunter of human trophies or other dangerous alien species.
His first appearance was in 1987 in the film Predator, later appearing in novels, comics, fanzines and film sequels on the Fox network such as Predator 2, Alien vs. Predator, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, Predators, The Predator and Prey.
In the movies they do not have a specific name, and are called Yautjas,1 Hish,2 or just Predators. They dedicate themselves to traveling the galaxy hunting any creature worthy of facing their abilities and that represents a real challenge. Created by Jim Thomas and John Thomas, the Predator was equipped with advanced technology, such as camouflage and energy weapons.
