Iron Man Civil War papercraft
Tony Stark was once just an opportunistic entrepreneur and inventor, albeit a hugely successful one. During a visit to Vietman (later retconned to Afghanistan) to supervise the field testing of some of his newest weapons, he found that he was walking into a trap as a bomb went off that blew up lodging pieces of shrapnel in his chest. He was then taken captive as the enemy wanted him to make them a powerful weapon. Given a lab and knowing that they would never let him out alive, Stark worked with another scientist, Professor Ho Yinsen, and created a suit of armor that they would use to escape. When it was built, Stark suited up but could not move until it was fully charged.
