In the performance of lion, monk, and dragon dance, Ong Dia is indispensable, a person with a big belly (due to fabric padding, if not padded, a fat person is needed) wearing a long dress, holding a large paper fan waving, carrying The mask of a round bald man with a grin follows the unicorn, joking with guests to watch dance or entertain the owner. Mr. Dia is said to be the embodiment of Maitreya, a Buddha who is always cheerful and gentle. Legend has it that Maitreya transformed into a human and overpowered a monster (unicorn) from the sea to the shore to destroy. Maitreya transformed into a human, called Mr. Di, took reishi grass on the mountain to feed the monster and subdued it, turning it into a herbivorous beast.

Since then, every year, Mr. Dia leads it down the mountain to wish everyone Tet, proving that the beast has become a good beast, and evil has become good. Mr. Dia and the unicorn go where they are blessed, so every house happily hangs green vegetables and red paper to welcome them. Later, people with money often hang prizes with money tied in a red cloth, hanging with cabbage or green vegetables. Lan has to climb high to get this "food". Of course, Mr. Dia did not climb with Lan but only danced with him, waved a big fan, lulled him to sleep or woke him up. The scene where Mr. Dia caresses the unicorn and the unicorn caresses Mr. Dia, shows the deep affection and harmony between animals and humans in a peaceful and joyful atmosphere.
